Warmhearted students helped the kid in a wheelchair who had to wait in the rain for his school bus

TEST

Disabled people may have trouble moving around, and inappropriate street furniture may make it harder for them to move.

Like other children, this 5-year-old boy rides the school bus and goes to school, but using a wheelchair is difficult.

Waiting for the school bus is one example. There is neither a bus shelter nor anything to keep the weather out at the end of the street.

Ryder always has to arrive a little early because he can’t catch the bus if he’s late. This is why, regardless of the weather, he frequently has to wait up to 15 minutes for the bus.

Tim Killam, Ryan’s father, came up with the idea to provide him with an umbrella while he waits for the bus. However, this is clearly not ideal.

The umbrella provided little comfort as the temperature dropped and the wind picked up. On Facebook, the boy’s parents asked if anyone had any old bus stops or shelters they could use.

Then, someone suggested that Tim get in touch with the high school nearby. He contacted Dan McKenna via email to inquire whether he could assist them in any way.

All 14 of the teacher’s students were thrilled to assist Ryder! Ryder got his own wooden bus stop by doing this.

It is no longer bothered by cold, snow, hail, wind, or rain. Bravo on the work! This kind of behavior is truly touching and motivating!
