Reports of missing creatures are a part of every animal advocate’s routine.

And the volunteers of Wild Florida Rescue in the United States are more than accustomed to everything that is part of their business, they write valuable stories.
This time the rescue of the deer cub broke their hearts because the little one reluctantly accepted what had happened.
Next to the deer was her mother’s body.

The citizen’s alarm alerted the rescue groups. A frightened deer on the side of the road hugged his lifeless body, which is supposed to be his mother.
The Wild Florida Rescue team arrived at the scene as soon as they were informed of the situation.
As can be interpreted from what they found, the family was wandering in the area when the adult deer was run over by the driver. This man was not sensitive enough to stop, he left the animal lying there.
The one who could not leave the scene was undoubtedly the faithful calf.
This deer was standing next to the corpse as if waiting for its mother to wake up. This deeply disturbed the rescuers, who could not help but feel indignation at the scene.

As Kristen Prokop from Wild Florida Rescue explained, this little boy was only a few days old when his mother died, so he was not separated from the body.
He did not want to leave her.
When the deer was rescued, it was dehydrated, a sign that volunteers knew the baby had been on the side of the road for about 24 hours.
Fortunately, help arrived, because if not, the deer would have suffered the same fate as its mother.
Life gave him a second chance.
He is currently in the care of the staff at the Creature Safe Place Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. In this place, they found a surrogate mother who fed her and helped her to progress.

When the mammal recovers and have the energy age to defend itself, it will return to its natural environment where all animals should be.
Thanks to the people who made this salvation possible, we are all happy that animals can have a second chance. Share this, thanking these heroes for their work.
