Sacramento SPCA employees were surprised one morning at their doorstep by their mother pit bulls, who had no owner. Thanks to their mother, they all survived to this day. But many things need to be put together for this sweet family…
A pit bull and its 10 newborn cubs were thrown on the doorstep of the Sacramento SPCA.
All signs showed that they came out just minutes after birth. The family was abandoned without food or water.
The mother was not chained, she could wander without her cubs, but she did not. Motherly instincts kept her close to them.
The shelter was happy to have them, but was nervous about the caregiver situation, as the cubs could not yet be separated from their mother.
But one man was encouraged to accept the family as their foster father. She created this place for a mother to feed her children and keep them warm.
After all this mom wore, she had the sweetest demeanour, letting her cubs be cared for.
The dog family would stay in their foster home for several months before being adopted.
At the same time, the foster father would continue to care for them and have fun posting pictures on his social media pages.
I will never understand how someone can just throw a mother and her babies out. But thanks to their mother, the Sacramento SPCA, and their foster father, they will be safe for life.
