There are only a few thousand western lowland gorillas left in the wild, making them an endangered species. However, their numbers are falling, and there is no indication that this trend will change.
Fortunately, organizations dedicated to conservation are doing everything in their power to safeguard various species.
Baraka, a 26-year-old male gorilla, was born to Calaya, a 15-year-old gorilla, in the summer of 2017.
Moke, which translates to “Junior” in Lingala, was given to their child. Congo, where the lowland gorilla naturally resides, frequently uses the language Lingala.
You can see how the new mother cleans and kisses her son with a lot of love and affection right after the birth. She adores this little treasure to the brim!
