When a young girl separated from her mother, both animals were understandably confused. Both horses are part of a large herd of wild mustangs that live in the Virginia Range.
During the commotion, a foal named Holly J wandered around a fenced area and was trapped.
Fortunately, a group of volunteers specially trained to rescue the wild horses was called in to help. It took a lot of effort a while, but they managed to put the foal in their video.
While the volunteers were doing their part, another group worked to find the wild herd so that the mother and baby could reunite, writes ilovemydog.
Fortunately, the herd was close. The volunteers humanely fenced them in so that when the foal came, their mother would be there to greet her.
What they did not expect, as you will see in the video below, was how incredibly sweet the reunion would be.
Wild horses are usually timid about people. Volunteers do their part to take care of the horses, but they respect those boundaries.
Reunification was expected to be very different, as the herd usually escaped from an approaching trailer.
Instead, the exact opposite happened.
The American Wild Horse Campaign wrote on its Facebook page: “When the trailer went up from inside the foal to the area where the group was locked up, the wild sea roared at its child; it even went into a horrible video to bring him back.”
The reunion, fortunately, videotaped, shows the mother playing with her foal and Holly G playing back. But the best thing is that the wild horses will never climb near the trailer…
The beautiful pirate did not hesitate to approach and then enter the trailer to reach his child. It’s magical, says ilovemydog.
We are so happy that mom and baby are together again. Thanks to the American Wild Horse Campaign for their extraordinary efforts.
