Ratty and Batty were found in deplorable conditions, without shelter, food water writes ilovemydogsomuch.
The situation is worse because their necks have been dug with wires and ropes, which have caused them severe pain. Locals confirmed that the two dogs were constantly chained outside and ignored by their owners.
Fortunately, they were rescued by Sidewalk Specials and brought to a veterinarian for treatment.
Although both dogs were scared, their hunger overcame the fear, and the rescuers were able to calm them down and gain their confidence through food.
They immediately cut the wires and ropes, which probably made them feel better already.
When they arrived at the vet, they were examined and diagnosed with tick-borne fever, malnutrition, and fractured anaemia.
Battin also had an old fracture in his leg, which unfortunately will require amputation because it has not healed in more than a year.
Rating Battin, who is about two years old, is now looking for their eternal home.
