The dog nicknamed Bear was hungry and lonely. The frightened dog did not leave anyone.
“We spent an hour trying to force him to eat, but it didn’t take us very far,” Amanda said. So they tried another idea.
He was lying on the ground, faking an injury to see how the Bear would react. He would pay a little attention, but then he would lose interest.
“When he started to feel uncomfortable, I shrugged and stopped moving. The next hour passed slowly, getting closer and closer to the Bear.
Until now, Dylan had stood on the other side of the road to follow us, “he” warned the cars that his insane girlfriend was lying on the side of the road, “do not hit me.”
“I finally stood right next to the Bear,” Amanda wrote.
“He growled a little, so I started barking, yawning, which is a calming signal, I kept getting closer and closer until I calmed down against the little teddy bear.”
Incredible! The bear hugged Amanda and stayed close to warm up.
The bear was emaciated, with protruding bones and ribs. But they had earned his trust.
“That was the point when he decided he never wanted to walk again,” he said.
“I had to take him everywhere from 9 in the evening. I had to pick him up, put him in a truck, and then we hugged together until we got to the vet. ”
The bear weighed 57 pounds and they treated him for skin and ear infections. The next step will be to find its owners.
Amanda Dylan did an amazing job of patiently implementing a project that took hours. They have never given up, their story is worth listening to.
