Warped Perception took on the challenge of answering this question by using a 4K high-speed camera and a German Shepherd and Chihuahua as test subjects.
The action is too fast for the naked eye to be able to tell exactly what is happening, but the slow-motion video reveals everything.
It turns out that dogs do not spend time and energy moving around like humans, but just turn around and climb immediately.
