We’ve seen some wonderful, incredible friendship of animals before,
but the inseparable couple you’re about to meet is one of the sweetest, the brown mother cow, the little puppy she raised as her own.
The newcomer is an orphan puppy. Her mother died shortly after giving birth.
Fortunately, a delicate cow stepped in to raise the puppy herself.
For two years they lived, ate, played and slept side by side in a farmer’s barn.
The newcomer followed the cow everywhere, sleeping on its back, “sheltering between its legs” when it was scared or in need of comfort.
But the farmer found out that raising his two cows was too much, causing them financial loss.
So he decided to give the brown mama cow to another farmer nearby so he could take care of it.
As you can see, Rookie could not have been more heartbroken by the separation.
She cried, cried, refused to eat, and spent the day longing for her mother to return.
For a moment, Rookie even ran away from the farm to follow his mother’s voice as she mooed from her new stall.
Eventually, the farmer changed his mind and decided to keep the cow for the puppy who loves him.
Thank God this has a happy ending.
