Thanks to Animal Defenders International their wonderful rescue, 20 years later, this mountain lion was finally released.
Peru does not allow wild animals in the circus.
However, many circuses are completely disrespectful to this law and continue to keep wild animals in cages. This is what happened to this mountain lion.
Mufasa had to spend 20 years in chains. Fortunately, the mission of Animal Defenders International was to rescue all the captive animals from the Peruvian circuses. And fortunately, they did.
Because of their determination, Mufasa was the last wild animal to be rescued.
However, because he had been chained all his life, Mufasa was not in a position to return to the wild.
So he moved to a sanctuary in the Peruvian forest, where a wall was erected for him.
Here the adorable creature is finally able to enjoy his freedom.
