That is exactlywhat happened in Sri Lanka. The fact is that a male elephant twin was born to a father elephant named Pandu Surangi and a mother elephant. It happened at the Pinawala Elephant Orphanage.
This simply amazed everyone, because such an incident had not happened for many years.
The last time people witnessed it was 80 years ago.
However, as the head of the Elephant orphanage Renuka Bandaranike said, happily both the 2 baby elephants and their mother are healthy and feel very well.
We also want to mantion that probability of such a thing happening is about 1%, considering that usually a female elephant can give birth about 4 or 5 times in a lifetime.
