We are two children in the family ․ My older brother and I. My mother was quite old, at the age of 42, my brother, and me, at 45. However, it did not affect our health or upbringing in any way.
Of course, it was felt that my mother was older, she had difficulties with many issues, but my brother and I did not lack anything, we have no reason to complain.
My father passed away when I was 17 years old. It was a big blow for all of us, but thanks to my mother’s strength we were all able to move forward and move on with our lives.
After university, my brother received a job offer from the United States and left, while I stayed in Armenia.
Now my mother is 79 years old, she needs round-the-clock care. He forgets to turn off the iron or gas, although I have repeatedly asked him to do nothing.
My mother goes to the kitchen early in the morning and starts cooking something. He burns half of it, fills it with sugar instead of salt, puts the dirty plates in the drawer ․․․ He forgets everything.
A few days ago I was so scared when he went to the store on his own and forgot the way home.
I do not know what can happen to him the next second, and it is very difficult to live like that. I work, I want to rest in the evening, but instead I am on thorns all day.
My brother does not want to help with anything, he does not offer any solution. I am running out of patience, I do not know what to do.
