Gradually, Dozer’s waiting smiles turned into an overwhelming sob, and he soon stopped eating altogether.
Shelter workers were worried about Dozer being anaesthetized.
Dozer felt so unwelcome that nothing motivated him to eat a piece. In desperation, the workers took a photo of him with a sad message, and on social networks, animal lovers begged to help him.
The shelter post quickly spread virally as anxious dog lovers teamed up to help Dozer find his family.
Within 2 days, the shelter was flooded with a huge number of calls and adoption applications.
A man named John was finally chosen to adopt Dozer. John recently lost his 13-year-old Pete Bull to a heart attack; he wanted to be Dozer’s father more than anything else in the world.
Today, John and Dozer, as constant companions, always stay close to each other.
