That’s right, that Allan Pursley adores animals, but had never considered keeping a squirrel, especially at home. However, it turned out that he met an orphaned squirrel that needed immediate help.
The poor animal had probably fallen from a tree, so Pursley, who also works at a vet clinic, came over to help him. He took the baby home to treat and care for him until he was ready to go back into the wild.
It turned out that during that time Persley started working from home, because the newborn animal needed proper care. He was so small that he hadn’t even opened his eyes, and when he opened his little sweet eyes for the very frist time, he saw Parsley.
And what happened after that can be called love, love at first sight. “I spent almost all of my time with him,” Persley says. “I even turned our closet into a comfortable space for him.”
“Even though I called him Rocky, I’m sure he thinks he is “Bad Squirrel” because I always called him that when he went near the table or the curtains,” he says.
In any case, when you love someone very much, you invent all kinds of names for him, so in the case of this squirrel, he was not just Rocky, but also Squirrelito, Squigdy-Boo and so on.
They had become so attached to each otherthat Parsley could not even imagine how he would part with him.
“When he finished becoming an adult, I realized that I had already made too many big mistakes. How will I be able to free him?
In addition, he was tame enough to survive in the wild.
One day, another baby squirrel appeared at their window and Rocky, looking at his relative for a moment, started running around the house. It was like an invitation to return to the kingdom of the squirrels.
However, even that did not make him leave his daddy who saved him and he eventually stayed by his side.
He also gets along well with the other members of the house, 2 dogs and a cat, but Rocky or Bad Squirrel likes to play a little rough with them. As Persley tells us, he doesn’t let anyone control him.
It’s been two years since he moved in with a human and Rocky still doesn’t want to leave. During this time, Persley builds a house for him outside, hoping it will be more convenient for him.
