When the Animal Aid rescue team arrived, he was lying helpless in just a foot of water, but for him, it could be the ocean. He was too weak to move, so he was about to drown.
As Animal Aid writes, “His nose was submerged in water tired. Bubbles were forming. “Even if we had arrived 5 minutes later, he might have drowned.”

Rescuers brought him back to the Animal Reserve. His body was in shock, he was hypothermic. They were afraid he would not get it. His pulse was weak. They gave her fluid to help her. He had to have his leg amputated, but he was not strong enough for the operation.
The medical team had to work on stabilizing his body to make him stronger. They also prescribed antibiotics to fight the infection. Of course, he was also given painkillers.
