A team of divers has completely discovered two dugongs, rare marine mammals that were trapped on the shallow bottom of the ocean as they dived in the Indonesian city of Kokoda.
One of the divers, Delom Lim, said that they found their mother, her calf, known as sea cows, in separate boxes.
It was obvious that they were used to make money from tourism by local fishermen, who took money from tourists to allow themselves to be photographed.
No one knows how many days the sea cows were trapped, but from the deep scars on their tails, it seemed as if they had been there for weeks.
The divers tried so hard to release the rare animals, but the captors refused.
Thus, the animals were finally released by the wild authorities. Watch the video below.
