Basset Hounds Stay With Dying Baby Until She Takes Her Final Breath

5-month-old Nora Hall suffered a catastrophic stroke, causing severe brain damage, writes ilovemydogsomuch.

Then it turned out that he was born with pulmonary hypertension. He did not live long. For the next three weeks, he was placed in a medical coma.

In Nora’s 5 short months, she won the hearts of her two dogs, Basset Hounds Gracie Grumpy.

“Especially Grace took on the role of the second mother,” Mary Hall told ABC News. “When Nora cried, Grace ran to see what was wrong. He was always by Nora’s side, kissing her, making sure she was fine. ”

As the family prepared to release Nora, Minneapolis Children’s Hospital asked the family if they had any last wishes.

Nora’s parents resolutely said yes. They wanted to know if their two dogs could say goodbye to their little girl.

“I asked. “If you could afford to have our dogs [in the hospital], we would appreciate it,” Hall said. “I did not want to go home so they could smell him, not know where he went.

“They lowered the bed so the dogs could sleep with him, and Grace ran and licked him.”

“It was really good,” said Mary. “It brought us a lot of comforts.”
