Aggressive Dog Gives In and Lets Rescuer Touch Him For The First Time

ART and NATURE

The Phoenix dog did not believe anything but the pain that was coming from the human hand until he met Takis.

She spent her life at the end of the chain, being beaten by a man who, according to police, was violent. People had complained to the police that the dog was being treated badly, so they went and caught the dog.

Not knowing how to deal with the Phoenix aggression, the police called Takis, who runs the Takis Shelter, located on the hierarchical hills of Crete, Greece.

Phoenix initially refused to leave the box when they arrived at the shelter. The dog jumped and growled at Takis’s glove.

Phoenix was so scared of his hands, knowing that they were only used to beating him. Takis did not give up the situation, he said to Phoenix.

“We’ll try later. We’ll be very good friends soon, right?”

Later that day, Takis reached out again to help. But this time the exhausted dog gives way.

He bows his head in Takis hand, surrendering to the beautiful. And a little later he gives Takis a paw. Takis can not control his joy the dog says “Bravo”.

“It took Phoenix some time to get used to the fact that the hand does not mean pain,” explains Takis. But over time, Phoenix’s behavior changed dramatically.

He interacts with the cats in the shelter, even though his former owner said he had killed cats before. And “he does well with everyone,” says Takis. All he wanted was love.
