Luckily, Whitney, one of the volunteers at I Stand With My Pack, heard about Shar-Pei and ran to pick him up.
The first stop after Violet was released from the shelter was the veterinarian’s office. The volunteers were nervous to see what he was weighing. You can see every bone in Violet’s body.
The numbers do not lie, Shar-Pei should weigh 40-60 pounds. Violet was under twenty. Their hearts were broken for the poor dog. Why would anyone do that to an innocent animal?
Whitney tried to caress Violet and calm her down. He felt all the vertebrae in his spine. Then Whitney knelt, Violet’s gaze confirmed his suspicions. Violet. had no idea what love was.
This was a turning point for the sweet girl. His life, of course, was going to change.
Once at her foster home with Whitney, Violet began learning what it means to have a frequent meal with a loving mother. Violet discovers what toys are – she even has her bed. The first time he walked on it, Whitney exploded with joy.
Violet gained weight over the weeks. He also learned more. How to play with dog friends all about happy dog zooms.
He discovered more things he liked. He turns into a happy, healthy dog, everyone was excited.
