The man was so lost in thought that he did not notice how their German shepherd, Trek’s Pit Bull Grace, had run away from home.
Trek was the first to notice a few snakes in the tall grass near the car and try to keep the girl away from them.
And Grace, who was late, immediately attacked the reptiles. When Rodney pulled out his shovel and broke the second snake, the pit bull was already dealing with the first.
But then Grace suddenly disappeared somewhere; she did not return home that evening.
The solution was found only the next day, when the dog returned with a monstrously swollen snake venom.
“I think when Grace was poisoned by a noisy snake yesterday, she decided to run away to the steppe and die there alone, leaving no one in trouble. “Honest and noble deed,” says Rodney.
But by the morning the effect of the poison had subsided, and the dog had returned to its owner. And the man jumped into the SUV and rushed to the vet.
It turned out that he looked terrible, Grace received treatment and recovered. And it was an important lesson for little Harper.
