I’ve seen a lot of weird friendships since I started writing this post, but this may still be the funniest! The Internet has fallen in love with an orphaned pony, whose best friend is a teddy bear. To make things more beautiful, the bear’s name is Breeze.
The little horse apparently felt lonely, needing something to replace his mother’s comforting touch. The stuffed bear they gave him turned out to be perfect for “work”.
Unfortunately, this clever little thing was rejected by her mother shortly after birth.
However, he was found at the right time by a concerned farmer who called the Marijuana Shelter in the UK. When help arrived, the poor boy was very confused and scared, but as soon as he was taken to the sanctuary, his condition began to improve.
“Unfortunately, little Breeze did not gather his mother to keep him company,” said Sira Bowden, the sanctuary’s executive director. “It was wonderful to see him interact with his new toys, hugging them when he went to bed.
“They are a great company for him. They provide comfort in the short time when his guardians are not present.”
To make them more comfortable, the reserve volunteers often give toys to orphans. However, they were all surprised by the interest Breeze showed in the giant bear he had acquired.
“One week old foal sleeps peacefully in the arms of its new surrogate mother, jumbo TEDDY BEAR,” the sanctuary wrote.
“Breeze the Bay pony was found abandoned in Dartmoor National Park just hours after it was born. Unable to find his mother, the little kitten desperately slipped on the hillside trying to suck the chickens.
“While rescuers from a local horse shelter came to the rescue, Breeze collapsed in a state of severe shock and dehydration.”
