When the rescuers found the orangutan, they thought he was dead.
The real little orangutan, Gito, was put in a pasteboard box soaked in urine, leaving it to die. He lived only on milk, he really suffered from severe malnutrition.
According to the rescuers of the International Animal Rescue Jito looked “mummified”, his condition was really neglected cruel. The group wrote on its website that even the strongest members of the team were shocked to see Gito.
Fortunately, Gito is finally back to life, thanks to the efforts of IAR staff, which all animals should have. He can now play in the jungle gym, jump as he looks at the camera.
The IAR shared some photos for Gito wrote that they are happy to share these photos that show how Gito came as they rescued him. Her skin looks much better she gets healthier every day.
Veterinarians are very happy with his progress, there is hope that he will return to the wild one day. He also becomes more energetic.
