Fifteen years ago, Rodolfo was in a car accident that left him in a wheelchair. Besides the fact that he can not walk, he can not move his left hand.
Thus, a dog named Lobo is his companion and helps him with various activities.
Lobo’s unconditional love is endless, from turning on the lights to warning about the curb.
Rodolfo and Lobo have been inseparable for the last six years. But time has not diminished their warmth. He personally trained him to become a helper dog.
“It was as if he became my hands and feet. If I am not with him, I feel naked,” he explains.
Rodolfo had to return to the hospital.
Rodolfo initially expected to stay in the hospital for 10 days. However, due to complications, he had to stay for 2 months.
During that time he could not see Lobo. Lobo’s unconditional love was expressed by the smooth licking of his master’s face.
“This reunion was healing, it refreshed my batteries,” Rodolfo said. He added.
“We spent too much time with each other, we missed each other.”
Currently, the legislation of Cantabria does not allow animals to be kept in health institutions.
Thus, Lobo’s visit was the first exception, as the issue is currently on the agenda of the authorities.
Rodolfo’s relatives the nursing team were very happy to see this special reunion.
When Lobo’s rope was removed, he entered the room where his master was. Then he immediately approached the wheelchair and sniffed it.
In the meantime, Rodolfo watched him from under the sheets. But he couldn’t hide for long!
Lobo immediately saw his owner on the bed and pounced on him.
