The scene where butterflies drinking tears from turtle and alligator eyes is something like a Disney movie

ART and NATURE

What you see right in front of you is a peculiarity which is very difficult to observer in nature. These astonishing photos include Julia Butterflies (Dryas iulia) drinking the tears of turtles and crocodiles.

To your conceivable frustration, these butterflies haven’t arrived to comfort the sad reptiles, yet are here to benefit from them.

This peculiarity is called lachryphagy, which in a real sense signifies “tear-taking care of”, and, as savage as it might sound, one of the manners in which butterflies can get valuable nourishment.

As detailed by National Geographic, butterflies taste on tears to get sodium and different minerals which are required for egg creation and digestion.

While the shared advantages are not yet demonstrated, as long as the tear-suppliers are not excessively annoyed, let the dining experience proceed!
