The wildcat was sure that she and her kittens were in safe hands. Carly Saltorski is the co-founder of SAR.
One day she learned about a mother cat and her kittens, who were only a few days old.
She immediately responded, not hesitating to help them.
So after a few hours they managed to safely transport the cats to a shelter, after which they were placed in a new foster home, which would help them get used to human contac t faster and overcome all their fears.
Ricky, the mother cat, hid from people all the time, holding and protecting her kittens under her belly.
Carly did everything to win the mother cat’s trust. At first, when she entered the room, Ricky got very nervous, holding her kittens closer.
It was clear that Ricky had been treated badly in the past, but Carly was trying to change her attitude towards people.
When the kitties were strong enough, they started to make their way to Carly.
Watching her take care of her kittens, Ricky seemed to gain some trust in her, starting to realize that humans aren’t so bad.
Slowly she began to warm to her foster mommy and after a few days she already found herself meltingf into Carly’s arms.
They all have a wonderful future ahead of them as they will soon be moving to their forever homes to continue enjoying their fun and happy lives.
