It is amazing how loyal dogs are to their owners. We have seen many stories of how brave pets protect their owners when they are in danger, even if it means risking their lives.
Like a brave dog, who came across a mountain lion threatening his family.
Mery Po dres shouted after coming face-to-face with a large, wild mountain lion in her backyard. “It was huge.”
But Mery’s dogs went on guard duty to protect the family. Both dogs barked at the mountain lion, trying to scare him, and then Rucky, the youngest of the two dogs, decided to drive the animal away.
Proving that sometimes the big characters come in small packages, Rucky fearlessly chased the bigger, fiercer cat, chasing him down the hill.
Unfortunately, the big cat countered, leaving Rocky with serious scars. “We saw the hole up to his brain,” said Mery
Seeing Rocky bravely walk to protect the family, Mery retaliated by going out to look for the dog, even the nearby mountain lion.
the mountain lion is still at large, but fortunately, Rucky survived the ordeal with a scar, but alive. He reportedly had eight large puncture wounds and received 30 stitches from a veterinarian.
His master was very grateful to him, knowing that he had sacrificed his safety to protect him. “To make sure I’m okay, that’s why he went with that mountain lion,” said Mery.
