Valya Orfanidou was driving on the Greek road when a little white and white puppy jumped out of the bushes and started running behind her car.
Looking at him in the car mirror, Orfanidu could tell that the little dog was bent back.
“I thought. “No, this one,” said Orfanidu. “Greece has about 3 to 5 million stray dogs. The streets here are like open shelters. who does not want his dog anymore, throws him in the street, there is no other way. «
Orphanidou takes care of dogs in Greece, rescues them, and describes the experience in his blog The Orphan Pet. she knew she could not leave her anywhere.
she stopped her car and tried to get her inside.
“When I stopped, he hid under the wheel of a car,” Orfanidou said. “Every time I approached him, he hid; when I took a few steps back, he began to hide, barking at me as if trying to say something.”
After playing hide-and-seek with the puppy for about 10 minutes, she was ready to grab him and put him in the car seat, where he began to move his tail happily.
Orphanidou took him to the vet for examination, “although the puppy survived any food found on the street, he was surprisingly healthy.”
Now in a loving family in Athens, the puppy, now called Bandit, is growing rapidly with the right care.
“He is independent, he has a strong spirit,” Orfanidou said. “But very loyal.”
